what to expect

Before you appointment:

  • if you'd like to have your chiropractic benefits verified, email your insurance information. You'll need to provide name of insurance carrier, member id, group id, your date of birth, primary person covered and their date of birth (if not yourself). And lastly, the phone number on the back of your insurance card for providers to call.

At your appointment:

  • please arrive 10 minutes early to your appointment to fill out paperwork, if you haven't done so already.

  • please wear the appropriate clothes to have your area of complaint fully examined.

  • comprehensive examination and treatment, if indicated.

  • please allow 45 minutes to 1 hour for your initial appointment. follow-up visits are 20-30 minutes.

We take your health very seriously. Please understand that when scheduling an appointment you assume all risks associated with possible covid exposure and infection. Here's what we ask of you and what you can expect when you come in to the office:

  • Source: California Department of Public Health

    • Effective April 3, 2023, masks will no longer be required in health care settings.

  • Regardless of the COVID-19 community levels, CDPH recommends:

    • Wear a mask around others if you have respiratory symptoms (e.g., cough, runny nose, and/or sore throat),

    • Consider wearing a mask in indoor areas of public transportation (such as in airplanes, trains, buses, ferries) and transportation hubs (such as airports, stations, and seaports).  This is increasingly important as the risk for transmission increases in the community.

    • When choosing to wear a mask, ensure your mask provides the best fit and filtration (respirators like N95, KN95 and KF94 are best).

    • If you’ve had a significant exposure to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, wear a mask for 10 days.

  • All highly touched surfaces will be disinfected in between each patient encounter with disinfecting wipes or spray.

  • An air purifier will be operating for the entirety of business hours.

After your appointment:

  • the most common risk to chiropractic care is feeling sore afterwards -- similar to after a good workout. This shouldn't last longer than 48-72 hours. Ice is a good at-home therapy to help manage mild pain and inflammation.

  • most patients respond wonderfully to chiropractic care and report feeling improvement of their symptoms, increased range of motion and ability to return to their activity without pain.
